The Department of Educational Leadership offers graduate degrees in Educational Administration and Adult Education (admission for this program is currently suspended). Graduates of these programs demonstrate a commitment to inclusiveness, collaborative leadership, and equity as they provide leadership to school districts, the military, community agencies, and other public and private organizations; demonstrate and encourage collaborative leadership in their daily interactions with learners and their families, communities, and co-workers; and model intellectual vitality in the workplace.

The Master of Education Comprehensive Exam requirements have changed in the 2008-2009 Catalog.
Graduate program candidates should consult with their faculty advisor or department chair for individual program completion guidance.
A comprehensive assessment at the end of the program is required by students who have Graduate Studies Plans beginning Fall 2007. Students in the program prior to Fall 2007 must take the comprehensive examination and must contact the Administrative Assistant at 907-786-4450 or anmaz@uaa.alaska.edu to make arrangements for taking the exam. The Comprehensive Exam is still offered each Trimester.
